Born on October 23 1935, was a pious and blessed lady, full of the joy of life. She believed in honesty, integrity, tolerance and respect for others. She played a pivotal role in the establishment of DPMS at Sitamarhi.
She also played an important role in the upliftment and emancipation of the poor and disadvantaged people of Sitamarhi.
A staunch believer in women’s empowerment she whole heartedly immersed herself in numerous training programmes for women undertaken by FICCI. She was also associated in various capacities with the Commonwealth Women Organization and the Delhi Foundation for Deaf Women. She ardently believed that if you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman you educate a nation.
