Sports are a mandatory component of our curriculum. Besides boosting physical development, sports are also a great way to learn leadership skills, team work and dealing with both victory and defeat with humility. This is why we provide a wide range of sports facilities to our students.
We encourage students to choose from different games like athletics, volleyball, badminton, basketball, hockey, football and cricket. The school also has a swimming pool that is open forour students and is manned by a lifeguard to ensure the safety of the children.
We also provide practice sessions after school hours to coach students who are interested in pursuing a particular sport.
Dayawanti Punj Model School is the only school in the district to provide both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Our air-conditioned multi-purpose hall is also used as an indoor court for badminton, basketball and volleyball matches. Our outdoor sports facility includes a huge ground where students enjoy cricket, football, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and other outdoor games.
DPMS students enthusiastically participate in a number of sports events held at inter-school, district and national levels.
DPMS students have won 1st and 3rd prize in Kho-Kho tournament organised by CBSE annually.
Students have brought laurels in various district and national level Kabaddi and Athletics competitions too.

Started in the year 2002 at Sitamarhi, a place known for its religious values, located between Allahabad and Varanasi, equipped with all the state of art facilities, has now grown into a wonderful, vibrant and youthful community consisting of more than 1600 students and around 100 experienced and well-qualified teaching and non-teaching staff.
